Sylvia is an accomplished inspirational public speaker with a focus on imaging arts, planning and conservation. She has presented to youth and adult audiences across the world. She is available to speak for youth groups, universities, science centres, museums, women’s groups, and corporation, to name a few.
She has presented at venues including the International Union for Conservation, Science World Vancouver, Finnish Museum of Photography, and The Lighthouse - Scotland's Centre for Art, Design and Architecture.
Sylvia is always pleased to create an independent lecture /project for discussion or larger social engagement. As an artist-lecturer, Sylvia believes it is critical to analyze and disseminate the latest research, promote contemporary art through application and theory, and also involve external communities in the discussions of how to support dynamic visual art and social networks.
Travel Expenses & Fees
Sylvia is mobile, spending her time throughout the year either in Vancouver or Glasgow. She is happy to travel to events if expenses (travel and accommodation) can be refunded or to lead conversations through webinars. Sylvia is open to a speaking fee commensurate to the task at hand, and has often been known to donate her time, too.
